Behind every pair: from design to finished footwear

When you choose a pair of shoes, the first thing that usually catches your eye is their shape, their color, or some special detail. But before reaching your hands, that footwear goes through different stages that transform an idea into a finished product.
We invite you to learn a little more about that journey.
Everything starts with an idea
The design begins by thinking about how the footwear will look and the use it will have. The shape, colors, materials, and details are chosen to build a proposal.
The same design can take on a different appearance depending on its finish: smooth leather, a marked texture, or a metallic touch provide different possibilities.
Materials give shape to the design
The choice of materials influences the appearance and the crafting of the footwear. In addition to the outer material, the interior components and the sole are also considered.
Each piece fulfills a function and must integrate with the others. For this reason, the design goes beyond what is seen at first glance.
From cutting to joining the pieces
Once the patterns are defined, the pieces that will form the footwear are cut. They are then prepared and joined using the techniques that each model requires.
At this stage, the seams and details that give the design its identity appear. Some models incorporate metallic ornaments, appliqués, or other elements.
The footwear takes its shape
The joined pieces are worked on a last, which helps to shape the shoe. Then, the sole and the other components are incorporated according to their construction.
The process can vary between a loafer, a clog, or a wedge heel model, because each design requires a different structure.
Final details count too
Before considering a pair finished, aspects such as joints, seams, and finishes are checked. Cleaning and preparation for presentation are also carried out.
These are details that can go unnoticed when looking at a photograph, but they are part of the crafting work.
A look beyond the product
Knowing this journey allows you to look at your footwear from another perspective: behind its appearance are design decisions, materials, and various production tasks.
In this space, we will share more about our processes and the details that give shape to each model.
